The Last Voyages: Additional Permissions

Matt Murdock may be blind, but his other senses have more than risen to the challenge to compensate, providing him with a different “picture” of the world. The way he “sees” is a lot more sensitive and a lot more invasive than just pure sight, such as tracking people by heartbeat, scent, or even the sound of their breathing. He also uses his hearing regularly - and without asking - to determine whether someone is lying or telling the truth.
Because this is so invasive, I’m giving you the option to opt out of any of it if you like. For example, if you want Matt to know your character is around but not be able to tell whether they’re lying, I can work with that. Also, if your character has weird anatomy (two hearts, mechanical parts, whatever the heck is inside that triangle-shaped body of yours, Bill), I’d appreciate knowing ahead of time in case I might be canonblind. I’m happy to take this as blanket permission/limits, or we can handle things on a thread-by-thread basis; again, just let me know, and I will try to remember to ask beforehand if there’s any question.
As a further note, Matt’s senses can be confused or fooled - if your character can mask/control their heartbeat or breathing, for example, Matt either wouldn’t know when they’re around or wouldn’t be able to tell when they’re nervous or lying. Things like water (rain) and intense snowfall can confuse his senses and make it hard to “see”, and I’m sure we can come up with plenty of other fun situations to confuse him as necessary. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you want to do anything with that!
Please pick the option below that best works for you and leave a comment, or feel free to comment that we need to discuss further and we can!
